Asst. Prof. Dr. Varinthorn Chakpaiwong graduated from Faculty of Medicine (Honors), Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, in Bangkok, Thailand. After graduating, she completed a residency training in ophthalmology at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.

She completed her fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery from 3 medical Universities; Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Emory Eye Center, Emory University, Atlanta, USA and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard University, Boston USA.

Since completion of her degree and fellowship, Asst. Prof. Dr. Varinthorn has been the clinical instructor and has recently been promoted as assistant professor and head of cornea and refractive surgery department at Ramathibodi Hospital. She has long time experience in refractive surgery and corneal diseases. She also participates in several international ophthalmology meetings each year as a lecturer and an attendant.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Varintorn has served as an assistant professor in ophthalmology at Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University and is a corneal and refractive surgery specialist at TRSC
