Dr. Ekktet Chansue was the first surgeon to perform LASIK in Thailand, and probably in Asia, in 1994. In 1989, Dr. Chansue became the first ophthalmologist from Southeast Asia to be invited to join ORBIS International, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help combat world blindness utilizing its DC-8 airplane converted to a teaching eye hospital.
His special interest in cornea and refractive surgery led to the determination to give the miracles of clear vision to all inflicted with sight problems. |

Wanida Chansue , M.Sc. (Hospitality Administration) was one of the first people in the world to have laser vision correction when she underwent PRK in the early 90's. She has retained 20/20 vision ever since. The miracles that she received, combined with her backgrounds as a certified nurse, were what drove Ms. Chansue to create Thailand's first-ever stand-alone surgery center devoted to the surgical correction of sight problems, with the determination to give patients not only the best available surgical and medical care in vision correction, but also first-rate service more commonly associated with five-star hotels and restaurants.
